At Grace Midwifery Collective, we plan to unleash a revolution in birth care! Our mission is to rally a vibrant community of birth professionals- Midwives, doulas, photographers, lactation consultants, educators and more-dedicated to delivering awe inspiring prenatal and postpartum care.

Through thoughtfully curated packages, we elevate prenatal and postpartum care into a symphony of support, nurturing and empowerment. As advocates we’re on a mission to reshape community standards, offer more affordable care by now holding the ability to bill insurance, ensuring accessible top tier care for all, regardless of birthing in their home, at our Birth Studio or in the hospital. We are growing a collective that is sustainable for the Birth Professionals, here to leave a legacy, leaving a ripple affect so that our children will birth in the place that feels safest for them, not bound by finances or fear. 
Grace Midwifery Collective’s goal is to reach the underserved where we can offer culturally competent individualized care. We are not just expanding; we’re pioneering a new era of holistic care for southeast Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf coast. We plan to empower every individual to embrace the full spectrum of their birth experience with confidence, joy, and unparalleled support. 

Midwifery

Midwife Grace Jackson, owner and primary midwife is a long standing provider to the community.

Lactation

Lactation assistance is included in our midwifery package regardless of where you birth. An International Board Certified Lactation Counselor visits your home at the 3 day visit to assist with a successful start to your breast or chest feeding journey.

Doula

“My passion is to empower expectant moms through education. When you know what to anticipate, the journey toward purposeful preparation can begin. I am an RN and veteran birth worker with over 15 years in hospital labor and delivery and community childbirth education. My most recent birth work has been as birth assistant for Grace Midwifery Collective. I am a mother of four adult children (Midwife Grace was my first) and MaMi to seven grandchildren.

You are yourself in birth. Affirmations and the subconscious. Expectations vs. Reality. Anatomy & Physiology of birth, pt. 1. Doulas and other support. Nutrition. The Holistic Stages of Labor.

Session Two

Variations for coping with labor. Birth Plan as tool for communication. Tests and procedures. Promoting labor. Conditions in pregnancy that warrant close monitoring. Positioning of your baby

Session Three

Your labor journey, an in-depth discussion on all stages of labor. Anatomy & Physiology of birth pt. 2. Positions for laboring and pushing. First moments postpartum. The placenta.

Session Four

Baby’s first moments. The Golden Hour. Initiating breastfeeding. Your baby’s care plan. Healing after birth. Empathy for the non-birthing parent. Adjusting to this new life.

Online Prepared Feeding Course

In this course, Amanda Devereux, RN, IBCLC, walks you through everything from preparation, getting a great first latch, trouble shooting common issues, pumping, introducing a bottle and even weaning. Watch toward the end of your pregnancy and watch again once you baby arrives. It’s indexed so you can easily find the info that you need - when you need it! Prepared Feeding goes beyond the basics of breastfeeding.

Empowered Birth

Come join us Saturday March 9th for this FREE class! Patients and non-patients welcome. We will be going over different birth options on the northshore and going over the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy and after postpartum . There will be food catered by Abita Roasting and a short Q&A after the class.
