Grace Jackson -
Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)
Becoming a mother at just 18 changed everything for me. My own birth experiences opened my eyes to the deep, transformative power of childbirth, and I felt a calling I couldn’t ignore. In 2014, I stepped into birth work as a doula, unsure of exactly where the path would lead but knowing, without a doubt, that I wanted to support women in one of the most vulnerable and powerful moments of their lives.
With each birth I attended, I witnessed the raw strength, resilience, and beauty of laboring mothers. I also saw how the hospital setting often made it harder for women to follow their instincts and trust their bodies. I felt their frustration, their doubts, and their triumphs as they navigated a system that didn’t always honor their birth choices.
My “why” for midwifery runs deep. It is about more than the births I attend—it is about the legacy I leave behind. I want the mothers who come after me, especially my own daughter, to have more choices, more education, and more support. I want this community of women to know, without a doubt, that they are not broken. They are powerful, capable, and strong.
Over the years, I have walked alongside families in some of their most sacred and challenging moments. That privilege has shaped me, softened me, and deepened my belief in the power of support, trust, and unwavering care. This work is not just what I do—it is who I am.
Certified Midwife, Trusted Caregiver
After completing an intensive four-year apprenticeship, I became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)—the national gold standard for out-of-hospital midwifery care. I am licensed by the state of Louisiana and recognized by the Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed caregiver. My training includes adult, infant, and neonatal CPR and resuscitation, and I remain committed to ongoing education to ensure the highest level of care. To date, I have attended over 350 births, each one reaffirming my belief in the power and beauty of the birth process.
Whether you are exploring midwifery care, seeking a birth experience that aligns with your values, or simply wanting a provider who truly listens and respects your choices, I would be honored to walk this journey with you. Birth is a sacred event, and every mother deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered—no matter where or how she chooses to give birth.
Serving Families, Supporting Birth
As a Louisiana native and mother of four, I am deeply committed to serving families in my community. In January 2023, I opened a licensed free-standing birth center in Slidell, LA, offering families a safe, supportive alternative to hospital birth. While I loved serving so many incredible families, the challenges of provider support and economic constraints led me to shift my focus. Now, I am pouring my passion into creating a doula collective—a powerful support system that allows families to have the best of both worlds: personalized, one-on-one support while still receiving care from their chosen hospital provider.
